The Kernel Biére de Saison – Sour Cherry Morello 330ml (5.5%)

The Kernel’s Biere de Saison is mixed culture saison brewed with patience, complexity, and a little wildness.

Fermented with their in-house mixed culture, developed over time through blending, experimentation, and reuse. It contains a combination of saison yeast, brettanomyces, and a range of wild and commercial yeasts and bacteria

This beer is the second of two BDS Sour Cherry releases. Morello is often found in English orchards; sharper, richer and somewhat more complex than Montmorency. Often used in Cherry brandy, Krieks (Lambic beers) and Black Forest Gateau.

So think of this as a sort of Kriek style Black Forest Gateau beer, and you’d be…. erm, wrong actually. Don’t think of it like that at all. Please.
