Champagne Germar Breton Demi-Sec is a beautifully balanced expression of finesse and indulgence. Crafted in the Côte des Bar, this refined cuvée celebrates the union of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in a style that’s rich yet refreshingly poised. The generous sweetness of the Demi-Sec style highlights its fruit-driven character, offering a Champagne that’s as charming as it is sophisticated.

This cuvée embodies the artistry of Germar Breton’s family winemaking philosophy: meticulous vineyard care, low yields, and an unwavering respect for the terroir.

Winemaking:

Produced exclusively from first-press juice, this Champagne is a blend of 65% Chardonnay and 35% Pinot Noir, including around 20% reserve wines for added depth. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation to round out the texture. After secondary fermentation in bottle, the wine rests on its lees for at least 15 months in the estate’s cool cellars. The generous dosage of 32g/L creates the signature Demi-Sec style, offering smoothness and delicate sweetness without overpowering finesse.

Pairing Suggestions:

Perfect with fruit tarts, vanilla panna cotta, foie gras on brioche, or spicy Asian dishes. Also delightful with soft blue cheese and roasted almonds.

Tasting Note:

A golden hue with green reflections leads to aromas of pear, apricot, and white flowers. The palate is creamy and rounded, with peach, brioche, and vanilla notes balanced by fine, lively bubbles.
