“The 2023 Polígonos Paraje Altamira Malbec offers textbook examples of the region’s classically intense yet weightless, fragrant aromatic profile and builds upon it with time in the glass. The palate is sumptuous yet lifted, seamlessly transitioning to a rich, slow-moving finish that combines vertical lift with horizontal power while regenerating the floral perfume first found on the nose. While the Polígonos Gualtallary Malbec bottling may be the more immediately impressive, this could prove to be the more complete wine with time.” 94pts Matthew Luczy The Wine Advocate
