🍷 Ziereisen – Steinkrügle Gutedel
Germany | Baden | Gutedel (Chasselas)
Style: Still White Wine | Mineral and Elegant
Winemaking: Naturally fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel and large oak vats, then matured on the lees to enhance complexity and texture without overpowering the wine’s delicate profile. Crafted with minimal intervention to reflect terroir purity.
Farming: From the Steinkrügle vineyard in southern Baden, where ancient limestone and loess soils impart striking minerality and finesse to this low-yielding, old-world variety.
🪨 A subtle stunner—saline, refined, and beautifully balanced.
👁 In the Glass:
Pale straw with greenish flecks—pure and luminous.
👃 On the Nose:
Mineral-driven and fresh. Hints of citrus zest, pear, and crushed stone mingle with subtle herbal and flinty undertones.
👅 On the Palate:
Precise and graceful. Yellow fruits, salt, and a touch of flint unfold over a silky texture, with fine acidity and a chalky edge. Elegant and understated, with a long, focused finish and seamless flow.
🍽 Food Pairing:
Perfect with freshwater fish, white asparagus, sushi, or light alpine cheeses. A wine made for clean, seasonal cuisine.
⏳ Ageing Potential:
Enjoy now for its purity or cellar for 3–5 years to develop greater depth and subtlety.
✨ Why You’ll Love It:
Steinkrügle Gutedel is a masterclass in delicacy and detail—quietly complex, mineral-laced, and irresistibly drinkable. A wine of finesse for lovers of nuance and terroir expression.
