Baltos is made from 100% old-vine Mencia with very low yields,aged in American and French oak for 6 months. It is an elegant and individualistic wine with a nose of earth, clove minerals and red and black cherry. The palate is beautifully textured, smooth, fresh, spicy and medium-bodied with a long, rounded finish. It has a very warm and intense palate. Baltos seems to find favour with fans of the Pinot Noir grape, expect all the flavour incased in a more dense wine, very enjoyable.
It pairs perfectly with medium-plus intensity dishes like tapas, snacks, white meat, paella, pasta and stews.
