🍷 Undurraga – ‘TH’ (Terroir Hunter) Cabernet Franc
Chile | Maipo Valley | 100% Cabernet Franc
Style: Still Red Wine | Winemaking: Hand-harvested grapes from high-altitude, single-vineyard parcels. Fermented in stainless steel with gentle extraction, then aged in French oak barrels to enhance structure, elegance, and terroir expression
Farming: Sourced from meticulously selected plots in the Alto Maipo, where alluvial soils, mountain breezes, and diurnal temperature shifts create ideal conditions for vibrant, structured reds
🌄 A focused and refined Cabernet Franc—aromatic, savoury, and full of Chilean character.
👁 In the Glass:
Deep ruby with violet reflections—intense and polished.
👃 On the Nose:
Complex and perfumed. Aromas of wild blackberry, plum, and red currant are layered with bell pepper, graphite, fresh herbs, and a whisper of cedar.
👅 On the Palate:
Elegant and structured. Silky tannins support flavours of ripe dark fruit, subtle spice, and dried herbs. A lively acidity and mineral backbone lead into a long, savoury finish with finesse and freshness.
🍽 Food Pairing:
Ideal with grilled lamb, roast duck, ratatouille, or herb-crusted beef. A brilliant red for dishes rich in flavour and aromatics.
⏳ Ageing Potential:
Delicious now with decanting, and will evolve gracefully over 8–10 years, gaining further depth and complexity.
✨ Why You’ll Love It:
Undurraga ‘TH’ Cabernet Franc is a standout New World expression—poised, aromatic, and terroir-driven. A sophisticated red that shows the elegance of Maipo Valley in every sip.
