Tomatin 14 Year Old / 2008 / Thompson Bros / 50% / 70cl
Nose: Rich with some dark dried fruits, soft caramel and ripe plumbs, some fruits in syrup, red apple and a touch of spice.
Palate: A lingering smooth and sweet dryness rolls across the palate, some hints of dried strawberry, a little dry spice, dark chocolate and hints of raisin, old school leather books, cherries and honey.
A nice tasting dram matured in ex cognac barrique cask for 27 months to deliver a rich tasting highland single malt.
