Thistledown The Great Escape Chardonnay
Fabulous Eden Valley Chardonnay. Modern- being fresh and crisp but with a hint of well integrated oak. Wild fermented in used French oak or concrete egg, without malolactic to preserve the crisp, citrus fruit profile.
92 pts – Halliday Wine Companion
“Plenty of flavour, peach and buttered apple, a little spice and aniseed. It has some richness and viscosity, but keeps itself fresh with balanced acidity, a slight citrus character, with a ripe but bright finish of solid length, and an aftertaste of Danish pastry.” – The Wine Front
Pair with shellfish, oysters and aromatic Asian dishes. pretty good with meaty white fish too.
