Aged in French oak, it’s got an almost floral, perfumed nose with ripe cherry fruit, hints of mint and chocolate too. Similar on the palate with deep red and black berry fruit, spice a touch of plain chocolate, with some dried herbs and integrated oak. The tannins are soft making this a really versatile food wine the soft tannins, bright, dense fruit and creamy oak seeming to ride with the flavours rather than competing. Really very good.
