Ana Rola our “woman in wine” is born & bred in the Douro & since an early age knew that she wanted be a winemaker in the Douro Valley where she was raised. Here she can find originality, unbeatable terroir, knowledge & overcome the challenges in creating a wine that stands out from the crowd! The estate, Quinta de Remostias, remains from the XVIII century & is located in Peso da Regua, the center of Douro Valley. In 2014, Ana decided to leave her post as head wine maker at a large prestigious Douro winery to go it alone. She explains, after so many years doing what I love for others, I think it gets to a point that we think “why not do it for myself”.
