Metaxa is the main brandy producer of Greece, based just outside of Athens in Attika. Its brandies are embellished with aged Muscat wine from the sun-baked Aegean island of Samos, along with herbs & spices. Spices used include anise and rose petal The number of stars on the bottles represents the quality of the spirit.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Orange peel. coffee, chocolate with toasted oak.
Palate: Elegant smooth taste, notes of dry fruit, orange peel, and a slight spiciness.
Finish: Long and aromatic, with the orange and spiciness lingering.
