Loch Lomond is probably Scotland’s most versatile distillery in terms of the number of different styles of whisky produced for different purposes on one site. In addition to its two traditional pot stills and a Coffey still, the distillery is also equipped with four Lomond stills, these have a traditional pot still base, but with the addition of a rectifying column instead of the traditional swan necks. Varying the distillation techniques has enabled the distillery to produce no less than eight different single malts (plus numerous grain whiskies and blends) of different styles on one site.
Loch Lomond 12 year old is a perfect representation of the distilleries signature style, delivering delicious notes of peach and pear layered with vanilla sweetness and a gentle hint of smoke on the finish.
Loch Lomond 12 year old is distilled using Loch Lomond’s unique Straight Neck stills and more traditional Swan Neck Stills, before being aged in three varieties of American Oak casks – bourbon, refill and re-charred.
Bottled at 46% and non-chill filtered to keep things as nature intended. This perfectly balanced expression is brought together by master blender Michael Henry.
Tasting Notes

Palate: Orchard fruits and lemon meringue. The deep fruity character of pear leads into citrus lemon, vanilla meringue and light biscuit sweetness.
Finish: Medium in length with gentle wood smoke and a lingering tang.
