Ruby color with light garnet reflections. 1st nose is expressive and concentrated with notes of small, tangy red fruits. (currant, raspberry) Aeration reveals aromas of candied cherries and menthol. The palate is fruity and spicy (pepper) with melted tannins which give it a beautiful structure. We find cocoa, toasted notes at the end of the palate which provide length. The whole is delicious with nice density.
To be enjoyed with a grilled steak or flank steak, a crusted filet mignon or a cheese platter (semi-dry goat’s cheese, Epoisse, Reblochon, etc.)
