Javi Revert ‘Sensal’ Valencia 2025

The ‘Sensal’ wines are Javi’s ‘village’ wines and blend fruit from several vineyard plots. The ‘Sensal’ red is a blend of Monastrell, Garnacha, Arcos, Forcallà and Bonicaire with 70% whole bunch in the ferment. Aged for nine months in concrete tanks and used oak barriques, it is an elegant, floral wine with vibrant red cherry and boysenberry fruit, hints of violets and cloves, and a fresh, juicy palate shaped by the limestone soils.

“ Sensal comes from four varieties—Monastrell, Bonicaire, Arcos and Garnacha—from the same lieu-dit, Els Juncarejos, in the village of Font de la Figuera. It’s a mixture of older and younger vines, more and more as the young plantings on the slopes come into production. It fermented by plot with some full clusters and indigenous yeasts and aged in concrete and 300-liter barrels for 10 months.” Luis Gutiérrez The Wine Advocate
