A stunningly elegant Highland Park expression here, released by independent bottler Fruitful Spirits. Distilled in October 2003, it’s been fully matured in a refill hogshead for 22 years, which lets that intricate, honeyed and subtly smoky distillery character shine. The cask yielded just 159 bottles, presented at natural colour and without chill-filtration. A really special single malt Scotch.

Nose: Light, heathery peat lifted by golden syrup and malt loaf

Palate: Rich and rounded, with bread and butter pudding and wildflower honey

Finish: Lingering and harmonious, with pear drops and crystallised ginger
