Veritas (which is the Latin for ‘truth’, and was the name of the Roman goddess of truth) is an intriguing and delightful rum produced at the Foursquare Distillery in Barbados, a collaboration between three industry greats: Richard Seale’s Foursquare, Jamacia’s Hampden Estate and Italian bottler Velier.
A blend of traditional Coffey Still and Pot Still rums from Foursquare and Hampden, Veritas challenges perceptions of what a White Rum is, and how it can taste. Perfectly distilled and blended, this rum has a great aroma and layers of complexity without any filtration or added sugars.
Tasting Notes
Vanilla pod, custard and fresh tropical fruit with some vegetal elements lead. Sticky molasses, banana and a little creamy nuttiness develop.
