“The first of two Rossos comes from an estate with one foot in the past and one firmly planted in the present. This is a glossy, bold style that shows a darker template of fruit than all the Chiantis in this review, and it also presents a riper, fuller palate. It is a square-shouldered wine with a 14.5% alcohol level. There is a plushness here that is indulgent and seductive, and the combination of French and Slavonian oak brings added complexity and a sense of grandeur to proceedings. Despite its youth, this is already drinking, making this an incredibly and keenly priced useful Rosso!” Matthew Jukes
