This is a fabulous dessert wine much better than most modestly priced Monbazillac. It’s a blend of Semillon, Sauvignon and a little Muscadelle. An extremely elegant wine with lovely honeyed tropical and stone fruits on the nose. It is unctuously luscious with a great backbone of fine acidity for a fresh finish. Properly sweet- I find so many Monbazillac are not really sweet enough, this is also way better than most inexpensive Sauternes.
