“The entry-level white 2022 El Castro de Valtuille Godello comes from three plots in the village of Valtuille and matured in larger and smaller barrels, all used. It’s quite Burgundian, with good ripeness, 13.36% alcohol, a low pH of 3.09 and 7.33 grams of sugar. The grapes were picked earlier, and the wine is lively, vibrant and very fresh. It’s very impressive, tasty with an almost salty finish. Some 7,000 bottles were filled in August 2023.” 93 points Luis Gutiérrez The Wine Advocate
This review is for the 2022, the new 2023 is equally impressive.
This is seriously delicious -nutty and quite rich with good acidity and a lovely salinity.
