Fine Wine from Our Bottle Shop and Taproom:
If you love full-bodied whites and are looking for a Vermentino that combines marine flavor and aromatic complexity, Ràfia from Cantina Santa Maria La Palma is the wine for you.
Its grapes grow on the limestone hills surrounding Alghero , where the sea breeze imparts that unmistakable salinity . A wine that will captivate you with its intense floral notes, hints of citrus, and a slightly spicy finish, the result of careful processing with batonnage on oak, which gives it extraordinary smoothness and persistence.
Vermentino di Sardegna DOC “Ràfia” comes from the limestone hills of the Usini area: soils well exposed to the sun and rich in precious nutrients. To produce this wine, tradition and innovation merge together: raffia is the symbol of a link between plant, land and farmer.
