A fascinating and hard-to-find blend here from independent bottler Bartels, known for its Highland Laird releases. The His Excellency line dates back to 1961, when it became one of the most well-known blended Scotch brands. Fortunes changed and it was discontinued, before being brought back to life in 2013. Today the collection features a range of bottlings, including this 14-year-old expression.
