Berry’s Brothers and Rudd was founded in 1698, making it one of the oldest wine merchants in the world. BBR also produce their own liqueurs (The Kings Ginger Liqueur being one of the most popular) and release lots of wonderful whiskies and rums as an independent bottler.
Ireland has a long history of distilling – longer than Scotlandβs, some would argue. There has been a resurgence in the number of distilleries β both new and old β opening in recent years. This classic Irish single malt comes from The Great Northern Distillery in Dundalk. This distillery, opened in 2015, is the real power house of the new wave of Irish distillers. Great Northern is responsible for the liquid behind many of the new Irish whiskey brands, along with their current success.Β
