Situated in Priorat, Spain, Marco Abella’s vines are biodynamically grown on terraces at an altitude of between 200 and 1500m. By all accounts vines have no right to grow here.
Poor soil is characterised by the presence of slate known as “licorella”, which means the vines must fight tooth and nail to survive. Producing opulent, hand-harvested, fruit with high emphasis on grape selection, is the norm here.
Tasting Note: Fresh, mineral and complex, with notes of tropical fruit such as pineapple
or mango and white fruit such as apple or pear, white flowers with lively acidity and a vibrant finish.
Pairing Suggestion: Versatile and easy to pair. It will pair very well with rice, pasta, seafood, white and bluefish, white meats and poultry.
Origin: Priorat, Spain
Blend: 35% Picapoll , 30% White Grenache, 20% Macabeu, 15% Viognier
