The Sharpham Dart Valley Reserve 2023 is a standout white wine that embodies the vibrant character of South Devon. Its lively, fruit-driven style makes it a perennial favourite, capturing the spirit of the region in every sip.
Produced at the historic estate renowned for its pioneering approach to English winemaking, this wine benefits from the rich heritage of Sharpham. Set in the unique Dart Valley, the estate’s vineyards are carefully nurtured using both traditional methods and modern techniques, ensuring that each vintage reflects the true character of the land.
The winemaking process is a meticulous blend of art and science. Selected Madeleine Angevine grapes are combined with a touch of Bacchus, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc before undergoing a six-month maturation in stainless steel tanks. This method preserves the wine’s natural vibrancy while allowing its distinct aromas and flavours to fully develop.
Noted for its ripe and fruit-driven profile, the Dart Valley Reserve delights the senses with a bouquet dominated by white peach, pear, yellow apple and a hint of lemon thyme. Its dry yet generous texture is rounded on the palate with a subtle whisper of spice, making it supremely quaffable and perfectly suited to those seeking a refined yet easy-drinking white.
