In the medium-high areas around Monte Stefano, known as Mompirone, the soil is composed mostly of sands of marine origin, allowed the production of wines of unique quality for over 2,000 years.
Tasting Note: Luxurious hues of deep ruby red are complemented by alluring aromas of blackcurrant, cocoa, and vanilla. The full-bodied and intense palate boasts flavours of loganberry, winter spice, and a hint of game. The delicate tannins and restrained berry fruit are elevated when decanted, revealing a subtle yet inviting spice that adds to the complexity. This wine strikes the perfect balance between the softness of a Nebbiolo and the substance of a Pinot Noir, with hints of both present in its exquisite profile.
