A Balanced and Rounded Vinho Verde
Dócil is the outcome of Niepoort’s quest for a Vinho Verde that reflects the terroir of the region, boasting balanced and rounded characteristics, relying on the vibrant acidity of the Loureiro grape variety.
This Loureiro hails from its traditional home, the Lima Valley, and is cultivated in granitic soils. The aromatic profile of this grape is wonderfully expressive, dominated by floral and mineral notes.
The 2020 harvest took place in early September. It was a classic, resulting in a wine with perfect freshness and balance characteristic of the Loureiro grape. Whole grapes were delicately pressed, and the must was decanted and fermented at low temperatures.
Tasting Note: Floral notes and fruity citrus are evident in an elegant and delicate aromatic profile. On the palate, it reveals freshness and aromatic intensity, with a great balance of flavours, finishing long and mineral.
