A rich, sun-soaked red from the heart of Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley, the 2021 Massaya Terrasses de Baalbeck is a captivating blend of Grenache Noir (40%), Syrah (30%), and Mourvèdre (30%).
Crafted at the Tanaïl winery, this wine is a meticulous labour of love. Grapes are hand-picked from 20-year-old vines growing at over 1,000 metres above sea level. After careful sorting and full destemming, they undergo a 20- to 30-day fermentation in temperature-controlled oak vats. Maturation continues for 20 to 22 months in large oak vats, adding depth and structure. The wine is bottled without fining or filtering, preserving its purity and authenticity.
Tasting Note: It offers aromas of fresh Mediterranean scrubland and hints of jujube and dates. On the palate, its finesse evolves into steady power, with refined tannins hinting at excellent cellaring potential. This wine balances elegance and robustness, making every sip a tribute to Lebanon’s winemaking heritage.
