This is very much a wine for Pinot Noir aficionados who are looking for a bit more grip and complexity.
From a single vineyard leased from the McFall family where the grapes are fermented under 100% natural yeast in whole bunches gaining colour, complexity and tannin from the skins and stalks.
“One for Negroni lovers. This 100% whole-bunch-ferment Pinot has Initial herbaceous aromas that are a touch medicinal, which become infused with lively blood orange, crunchy red cherry and berry and pomegranate. Pithy, suede tannins trap the flavours, while crunchy, mouth-watering acidity moves them along, creating a compelling dynamic. Lovey freshness, with a sea-spray edge to the persistent finish.” – 93 Points: Sarah Ahmed, Decanter
Tasting Note: Deeper and spicier than your regular Pinot the wine opens up two hours after decanting showing exuberant cherry, dried herbs and leafy notes – with raspberry and liquorice emerging an hour or two later.
Origin: Mornington Peninsula, Australia
Blend: Pinot Noir
