Born from the vision and determination of Miguel A. Torres, Mas La Plana burst onto the international scene in 1979, triumphing over the world’s great Cabernet Sauvignons with its first vintage of 1970 at the Gault & Millau Wine Olympics in Paris. Thus began the legend of a wine that represented a paradigm shift at the time and set the course for Torres in producing premium wines from their own vineyards. Over time, it has evolved to reach its current peak of expression, thanks to the strong roots and balance of the old Cabernet Sauvignon vines.
