The Page Family took over the running of this property some years ago. Around 40 years ago, they discovered that the soil in this northerly part of the Médoc had once produced excellent wines but the land had been abandoned.
Now planted with 49 hectares and a new chai – with rows of temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and an immaculate barrel cellar – Château Noaillac is producing succulent, lovely, early-drinking, claret.
Tasting Note: Oak and smoke, tobacco with vanilla. Leathery, earthy undertones that drift through a sea of blackberries, currants, and pepper.
Origin: Médoc, France
Alcohol: 13.0%
Blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot
