The perfect partnership of Oloroso sherry seasoned American and European oak casks creates the distinctive, warm character of this harmonious single malt. The delicate and indulgent flavours of American oak including vanilla, orange and toffee support The Macallans more traditional characteristics of rich fruits and wood spice which take centre stage.
Aroma: Dried fruits, ginger and toffee with rich orange and hints of clove and nutmeg.
Palate: Rich raisins and sultanas with notes of caramel, vanilla and ginger balanced by wood spice and zesty cirtus
Finish: Warm oak spice with ginger turning to sweet orange.
