The Heart Cut #05 FEW Spirits, 50.0%

The Heart Cut #05 from FEW Spirits is a stunning American Rye Whiskey that’s as vibrant and lively as its Chicago roots.

Distilled in June 2016 and bottled in May 2023, this limited release (only 441 bottles) is a masterclass in flavour and craftsmanship. At 50% ABV, it delivers a rich and satisfying experience that’s perfect for both sipping and sharing.

FEW Spirits, founded by Paul Hletko, is all about the people behind the distillery, and this whiskey is a testament to their passion and creativity. Whether you’re in the mood for a juicy pairing with Pressure Drop’s Domino Topple Cali IPA or something a bit more laid-back like Small Beer’s Hazy IPA, this whiskey pairs beautifully with a range of flavours.

The Heart Cut #05 is more than just a bottle, it’s a warm ray of sunshine on a cold day, a reminder of those unforgettable moments spent sharing a dram and good conversation. If you’re looking for a whiskey that’s both complex and utterly delightful, this is the one!

Distillery Tasting Note: This rye whiskey is a burst of sunshine in a glass, with tasting notes that transport you to a warm, breezy day. Imagine the sweetness of dried peaches, the zesty kick of lemon meringue, and the comforting richness of brown butter—all coming together in a harmonious symphony of flavours. The secret to this whiskey’s unique character lies in its finishing touch: after ageing in New American Oak, it spent time in a Sauternes cask, imparting subtle notes of honey, apricots, and lemon that elevate this rye to something truly special.
