2018 Niepoort Poeirinho

2018 Niepoort Poeirinho is a tribute to traditional Baga grape wines, made from certified organic vineyards at Quinta de Baixo. This light wine from Bairrada has a remarkable aging potential due to the fantastic terroir and Dirk Niepoort’s passion for the grape.

Made from 100 year old Baga vines. Its like a fine Burgundian Pinot Noir and a Northern Rhone Syrah in the same glass.

This red should be enjoyed lightly chilled (15ºC) in a Burgundy glass.

Tasting Note: Aromas of pepper, cherries, forest fruits and a touch of mint. Remarkably precise with a powerful structure, it captivates with its intense mineral character, vibrant fruits that carry through from the nose, and invigorating character. Balanced acidity and polished tannins.
