Named after an inlet on Islay’s rugged Atlantic coast, Sanaig is a vatting of both sherry and bourbon casks. The high proportion of Oloroso sherry influence adding a balance of dried fruits and spices to classic Kilchoman citrus sweetness and peat smoke character.
As with all Kilchoman whiskies, it’s made from barley grown on the Islay farm, malted, distilled, matured and bottled all on site for an authentic taste of Islay.
Tasting Note: Charcoal smoke, bitter cocoa, malt loaf, pine needles, sweet raisins, brown toast, and treacle sweetness. A rich, smoky, peaty palate, with a woody, peppery finish.
