This 100% Garnacha was created at the highest elevation (650-700 metres) vineyard – “La Mallola” – of the Marco Abella estate.
Here, the red slate rock (Roca Roja) of La Mallola contrasts with the grey slate soil. Its soil, rich in slate, provides mineral elements to a very unique, complex and fresh wine.
The red rock inspired mystical and fantastic legends.
The wine was aged in French oak barrels for 18 months.
Tasting Note: Delicate aromas of cranberries, strawberries, and rosemary. Caramel, candied orange, complex minerality, with great length on the palate.
Origin: Priorat, Spain
Blend: Garnacha
