Owned by Dr Richard Hamilton and his wife this is a winery from a fifth generation winemaker who established his own winery in 1972. Richard Hamilton is a remarkable man, not only producing amazing quality wine but also in his work as a leading surgeon in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Adelaide; and his wife is no less remarkable bringing her danish heritage to the beautiful danish inspired buildings that are scattered through the Leconfield estate. Big crimson highlights, dark olive and cherry fruits with nuances of cloves and vanilla. Fantastic to drink now or if you can wait, over the next 4-6 years.
