So Zinfandel is best known in America, but it is actually Primitivo from the south of Italy. Fed up with nobody knowing this, the Italians have started calling their wines Zinfandels and this is one. Lovely spicy cherry fruit with tobacco, coffee and vanilla – this has been made to appeal to American Zin drinkers and show what Italy can do.
