Heaven Hill was founded shortly after the repeal of Prohibition in 1935. Heaven Hill’s location in the historical home of bourbon-making, coupled with its status as the only such company still under local ownership, has led it to take a role in curating and advertising bourbon tradition. In 2004, the Bourbon Heritage Centre was opened on distillery grounds, featuring historical exhibits and guided tours of the plant. The company also hosts the annual Kentucky Bourbon Festival, and many of the company’s own labels are named after famous local distillers.

This 100 proof version of the world’s second largest selling Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is aged four years under U.S. Government Supervision to meet the exacting standards for Bottled-in-Bond. First enacted by Congress in 1897 and still on the books today, Bottled-in-Bond guarantees quality and assures consumers the product is bottled at exactly 100 proof, the product of one distilling season at one distillery, aged at least four years, and clearly labeled with name of the distillery who made it and Distilled Spirits Plant (D.S.P.) number in which it was made and bottled.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Caramel with hints of vanilla, orange, oak, barley & macadamia nuts.
Palate: Citrus on top of vanilla, and black pepper.
Finish: Warm, long, spicy & dry.
