Thompson Bros Caol Ila 2013 13 Year Old 70cl 54.9%

Thompson Bros Caol Ila 2013 13 Year Old is a richly peated Islay single malt that captures the essence of one of Scotland’s most distinctive distilleries. Bottled at a robust 54.9% ABV, this independent release showcases the bold, smoky character Caol Ila is renowned for.

On the nose, expect layered peat smoke mingling with briny sea spray, coastal minerals, and hints of dried seaweed.

The palate delivers full-bodied intensity—thick peat smoke, iodine, and a subtle sweetness from the spirit’s 13 years of maturation. A touch of maritime salt and lingering smoke define the finish, with a warming, dry conclusion that rewards patient sipping.

A compelling choice for peat enthusiasts and collectors seeking authentic, non-chill-filtered character from one of Islay’s most respected producers.
