Vernissage is a refined red blend of Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Individual varieties were bunch and berry sorted, crushed and destalked to tank. Fermentation was initiated after 8 days cold soaking. Minimal additions were made to preserve the true cultivar characteristics of the grapes and to minimize man-made impact on the wine.
Maturation included 18 months in 3rd fill French oak barrels and for the remainder of the time in stainless steel before bottling.
Vernissage stands out for its seamless interplay of three varietals, delivering a wine that is both elegant and expressive from release and through 7–10 years of ageing.
Pairing Suggestions: Roasted duck with berry jus, mushroom risotto or grilled venison medallions.
Tasting Note: The three varieties in this blend add a medley of flavours ranging from ripe cherries, mulberry, blackberry and floral notes, with an alluring meaty undertone. With its superb balance and smooth tannins, it’s an exceptional choice for any occasion.
