Linkwood 13 Year Old Tri Carragh 52.1% 70cl
Speyside distillery Linkwood is well-loved by whisky lovers. And this delightfully rich, opulent expression from independent bottler Tri Carragh perfectly demonstrates why. Distilled in October 2011, the spirit was initially aged in a first-fill sherry hogshead. It was then transferred into an ex-Pedro Ximénez cask for a two-year secondary maturation. Expect to find a riot of red berries and dark fruits on the nose, with dates, vanilla scones and even rosewater on the palate. Lovely.
