Laphroaig Quarter Cask takes its inspiration from the small casks often used for Scotch Whisky in the 19th century and frequently transported across the Glens by packhorse.
As the industry grew, they fell into disuse and bigger and more cost effective barrels became the norm, for maturation and transportation.
Laphroaig, the Islay legend whose name is synonymous with bold maritime peaty character, hails from the Islay region of Scotland and embodies a storied tradition of coastal maturation and handcraft by the Laphroaig Distillery. The brand’s heritage is rooted in Islay’s rugged landscape, where the distillery has produced single malts with a distinctive peat profile for over two centuries, backed by a long-standing reputation for both quality and authenticity.
