94pts, Tim Atkin MW
“Donovan Rall uses fruit from one of the vineyards that supplies Ava to make this mid-tier Syrah from schist soils. Fermented with whole clusters, it’s a sappy, serious, concreteaged red that’s compact, dense and built to age, thanks to low yields. Kelp, fynbos and High- Church incense aromas segue into a palate of damson, steak tartare and liquorice. 2027-34 “
