We’re certified fanboys and girls for Azacca here at Polly’s HQ and we’re not afraid to shout about it. Often lost against some of the newer, sexier, younger hops that arrive onto the scene and dominate, this incredible stateside variety holds its own against any of the present day hype hops and more often than not blows them out of the water thanks to its stability on its own in a single hop beer.Stacked Azacca is a shining example of this stability and we’re giving our thanks to the Haitian god of agriculture this variety is named after for this beer.With a bigger than usual for a pale ale dry hop charge, our faith is rewarded with a bloom of bright, punchy grapefruit and zesty orange notes, before softer flavours of tinned peaches, juicy mango and papaya dominate for a pale ale that packs way more punch than its strength would suggest.
