A delicious new wine to us from Gualtallary in the Uco Valley. Lovely perfumed style, lots of bright plum and berry on the palate, smooth yet complex finish with black fruits, spice and integrated oak. Classy!
“The 2022 Syrah – Viognier originates from the Monasterio section of Gualtallary, was co-fermented in open-top barrels and matured for 16 months in foudre. It opens on a reserved, coiled note, gradually building into a balsamic, black-fruited profile with nuanced spice notes. On the palate, it is sleek, seamless and fluid, closing with a staining, rich and luscious finish with a grippy, introverted structure.
