Valentin Bianchi, left Italy at the age of 23 and travelled to Argentina, an educated man, a teacher by profession and a person with a solid entrepreneurial spirit, began his life project in Mendoza. In 1928, he fulfilled one of his greatest dreams: to have his own vineyard and winery which he called El Chiche, “the small winery of great wines”. Don Valentín’s tireless vocation was forging a family winery whose name would become a true heritage of Argentina: Bodegas Bianchi.

Uco Valley terroir is a milestone for Bodegas Bianchi since it shows the birth of their global brand strategy. It is the natural growth of their 90-year history in search of new flavours for the local and international market.

Bodegas Bianchi are a winery with a family heritage that is part of the richness of the land and are proud of their achievements, inherent quality and excellence of all their products, today and looking to the future. They are a sustainable winery, who continually work to meet the needs of the present without compromising the possibilities of future generations, thus they constantly update and train their team on safety, quality and sustainability to go much further in terms of ecology, care and respect for the environment.

San Rafael, Valentín Bianchi, and the winery of Valle de Uco, Enzo Bianchi both comply with the sustainability protocol and are certified. The Sustainability Protocol of Bodegas de Argentina places Argentine winemaking at the highest level in sustainability management and contributes to improve the competitiveness of our wines in world markets.

Production

The grapes for Finca Los Primos Malbec come both from family vineyards as well as from associated producers, all of these in San Rafael, Mendoza. The family vineyards are: Finca Doña Elsa and Finca Asti, both of these at an approximate altitude of 750 m.a.s.l. They have poor, alluvial-origin soils, with a loamy-sandy texture and some calcareous sediments which provide minerality notes to the wine. Manual harvest.

Tasting Notes

Very attractive and profound purplish colour, typical of young Malbec wines. Intense, aromatic fruit-forward expression with evidence of ripe red fruit and notes of violets, accompanied by a subtle minerality. In the mouth, it has a sweet entry, round and soft tannins, balanced acidity, and medium structure.

Brilliant juicy burger wine!
