The Povero family have been making wine for over 200 years. Cantine Povero is located in the heart of Piemonte, where Roero, Langhe, and Monferrato meet. Currently they harvest 7 different grape varieties over 50 hectares of vineyard.
Tasting Note: The colour is an intense ruby red with garnet reflections. The bouquet is full and harmonious, with notes of incense, spices, liquorice, and toasted hints. The palate is dry, warm, and well-balanced. Smooth tannins give fullness to the palate, and the finish is persistent and spicy. An elegant and complex Barbera with great potential for evolution.
