On the hot plains of the Baixo Alentejo, just a few kilometres from the city of Beja, is one of the oldest wine estates in the region. Its vineyards represent decades of history that Henrique Uva has preserved & farmed for many years & which he always wanted to develop as an independent producer.
In 2004, he achieved his dream, with the project that goes by the name of Henrique Uva/Herdade da Mingorra. The winery is surrounded by a landscape that that is abundant, with an amazing diversity of plants & fauna, with several river basins forming veritable oasis. Built in the heart of Herdade da Mingorra, the 2,000m2 Winery only vinifies the estateβs own grapes & works with vinification processes at various levels. In total, more than two & a half million euros have been invested & the Winery has been designed to preserve traditional techniques in perfect harmony with the highest technology.

Tasting Notes
The first thoughts when you pour this wine is itβs fabulous bright & deep ruby colour. But this is only the start of a great taste experience. A layered wine with so much to unwrap. The more you drink the more you discover. Sour cherries & subtle warm spices such as cinnamon & cloves give way to rich juicy cherry, chocolate & pepper on the palate, with a good length & a perfumed finish. Perfect to drink now & potential for aging for a few years. Decanter Wine Awards 2021 β 92 points.
Great with strong meats like bacon, steak & roast lamb. Matches well with a selection of mature cheeses & roast peppers.
