Glengoyne are one of the most sustainable distilleries in Scotland, they donate to local nature projects, they are fully powered by renewable energy and have recently moved into new eco-friendly packaging made with recycled materials sourced within 30 miles of the distillery, with no plastics used.
Glengoyne’s stills are Scotland’s slowest, this encourages the formation of “esters” giving Glengoyne its characteristically sweet, fruity taste. No peat is used in the barley drying process, allowing the subtle, complex flavours of slow distillation and exquisite wood to shine through. Glengoyne’s natural colour comes from time and wood alone.
Nose: Bright notes of buttery oak, green banana, and a touch of floral tea.
Palate: Creamy notes of vanilla, a touch of tropical pineapple, toffee apple, poached, spiced pears.
Finish: Orchard fruits linger, with pastry, a touch of pepper, warm sponge cake, and ginger.
