Old School Syrah is not a jam soup, with toasted oak chips added for mocha flavour. The wine is fermented ‘old-school’ with wild yeast (partially whole-bunch) and raised in large wooden casks (or ‘foudre’ en Francais). An homage to the savoury, wild yet elegant renditions from Paul Boutinot’s ancestral lands.
Sourced from sustainably farmed coastal vineyards and only hand-picked fruit.
Tasting Note: A dark garnet hue and a violet rim. It features fresh, lifted berry aromas with cream, cassis, and black cherry flavours on the palate. Its structure is provided by fine tannins and ends with a long, rich, and ripe finish.
